Project summary

Starting from the dowry of traditions and cultural inheritance, the project approached the issue of minorities from two perspectives: cultural, artistic and religious activities and the perspective of integration, the continuous exchange with other ethnics and the majority population

The project objectives included increasing the capacity to promote cultural diversity towards the wide public in the North-East and North-West regions by organizing three festivals in the cities of Botosani, Iasi and Bistrita and creating a documentary film about the culture and multiethnic traditions.

Within the project there were organized workshops with experts in culture and arts from the North-East and North-West regions, raising awareness upon cultural diversity and contributing to a better understanding of the culture of minorities by the elaboration of three studies in the fields of culture and arts.

Facts & figures

  • 3 festivals promoting multicultural ethnic diversity (2 in Botoșani and 1 in Iași);
  • 3 studies researching on culture and arts developed in Botoșani, Bistrița-Năsăud and Iași counties;
  • 4 workshops with culture and art professionals in the North-East and North-West region with the purpose of consolidating intercultural dialogue and developing various activities in the artistic and cultural field at regional and district level;
  • 1 documentary movie that highlights the culture and multi-ethnic traditions;
  • 1 advocacy and publicity campaign on multicultural heritage implemented.
