Project summary

The project aimed at the initiation and consolidation of cultural dialogue between Romania and Northern Europe in the field of classical music by internationally promoting a remarkable Romanian personality, Dinu Lipatti.

The project activities included both an international section within the Lipatti Evenings Festival and sections of the Lipatti Evenings within renowned classical music festivals in Iceland and Norway. Thus, the Romanian public came into contact with foreign artists, whereas the Norwegian and Icelandic public got to know another face of Romania as represented by exceptional musicians. Artist mobility and intercultural dialogue were also encouraged as part of the European policy.
