Project summary

The project promoted multiculturalism in Beiuș area and included the most expected local festival, by creating a public-private partnership between the municipality of Beiuș, the local cultural institutions and the local schools, involving most of the five thousand students from the kindergartens, schools and colleges in Beiuș. The public was exposed to information about local history, traditional culture, crafts and traditions (including of the Roma minority).

The festival included musical performances and visual arts, craftsmanship displays, educational contests for children, and workshops with information about different traditions. Last but not least, research and the data collected from the craftsmen were published during the project.
