The project promoted multiculturalism in Beiuș area and included the most expected local festival that presented to the public musical performances and visual arts, craftsmanship displays, educational contests for children, and workshops with information on a large variety of traditions.

ProEtnica is an instrument which promotes the rights of cultural expression of the national minorities and, at the same time, strengthens cultural dialogue. Thus, ProEtnica contributes to the preservation and creation of the intercultural peace in a pluralistic and democratic society.

Theatre Dialog Box was more than a sequence of joyful happenings, it was also an amalgam of experiences and constructive emotions. (…) We started with a handful of extraordinary youngsters, some of them with a disordered background, coming from disturbed families, students who had not been to a theatre play ever before, be it either ad-hoc or unconventional.

“Canine Manifest in the Moldavian Reading Room, a project dedicated entirely to children aged between 8 and 16, travelled to 10 Romanian cities in order to perform the theatre play The Confessions of a Dog, by Ioana Macarie and Mihaela Rădescu. Children also participated to civic education workshops about the relation between humans and dogs, (…) about tolerance, responsibility, empathy, civic participation, respect for nature and life.”

“Deliberately called Intercommunity, the exhibition was organised by Iași Municipality and the Union of Fine Artists from Iași, the theme being centred on the life, places and traditions of minority communities as filtered through the creative perspectives of fine artists. (…) 29 paintings and 7 sculptures were exhibited, some of them publicly displayed for the first time like the copper and wooden sculpture Poetic Condition of Ukrainian artist Dan Covătaru, or the last piece of The Guard sculptured in copper by George Sorin Purcaru ”.
