Székelyek Traditions: a journey into the culture of secui from Romania – research study

“The study has identified 20 of the most important and representative elements of the immaterial Székelyek heritage. Among them worth-mentioning are the art of painted furniture or wood carving, a technique that is used for gates and funerary columns. The secui from Romania are also very well known for gastronomic specialties such as potato bread, the Székelyek sweet bread or the wedding tree of Micflău. Among the local traditions to be mentioned within the research are the religious feasts such as the viflaim or the Easter splashing.”
