“The textbook developed by a group of four experts, specialized in history and political science, addresses issues that are related to the history of the Roma and the image of the Roma population in 18th-19th century and early 20th century Romania, in the interwar period, during WW2 (Roma deportations to Transnistria) and the communist period, throughout the post-communist period, and last but not least, regarding the representation - and self-representation – of the Roma in the Romanian art and culture in the 19th-20th centuries:”.

“DELTACRAFT collection illustrates crafts skills and techniques from the Danube Delta area. The objects are a symbolic representation of locally sourced raw materials, of community food and power, memory of place and heritage. The aim of the project was to show the unique character of the Danube Delta region, of its cultural and natural heritage.

“Starting from the socio-economic, cultural and political realities of two small towns from Teleorman district, – Alexandria and Turnu-Măgurele – Maskar project aimed at initiating community dialogue by triggering stereotypes and prejudices, especially ethnic ones, and encouraging for a better understanding of the past with focus upon solidarity and empathy.

“Sinaia365 is an initiative that started from the need to capture, conserve and promote, between the pages of an modern photographic album (revealed also on a website: www.sinaia365.ro) the most relevant “moments”, both from a cultural, events-oriented perspective but also from an architectural and artistic point of view. Briefly, the idea is to capture Sinaia’s day to day life & culture, within 365 images taken during all the four seasons of the year.

(…) Most of them live in the northern of Norway (40,000), and the rest in Finland, Sweden and Kola Peninsula. (…) Hundreds of years ago they were nomad, travelling mostly in one of the Scandinavian countries while today, though a minority population, they have their own parliament and are considered to be one of the most well-preserved minority culture in the world”.
