The project specific objective is to use digital storytelling in order to reflect history and culture, and community beliefs and values.
The specific objectives of DeltaCraft refer to the documenting techniques and symbols used in utility and decorative crafts from at least 11 communities in the Delta; empowerment of at least 5 local communities through collaboration with at least 5 Romanian designers for making handcraft objects with traditional symbols through techniques familiar to the Delta communities; and raising national and international urban public awareness by promoting the products.
The project aims for reducing the knowledge gaps related to roma history and culture that lead to discriminatory attitudes.
The specific objectives of the project are: strengthening bilateral relations between Romanian and Norwegian cultural operators in the field of art and culture, with an emphasis on diversity; strengthening the public access to culture by presenting holographic screenings of movies with visual historical message and multiethnic relevant; establishing an optimum understanding of cultural diversity and strengthening the intercultural dialogue, including of minorities, among which Roma people; development (expansion) of opportunities for developing various, modern activities, (holographic and quasiholographic screening)
The project aims to document the cultural history of the ethnic minorities in the south-west of Oltenia from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The project Székely Traditions - a journey into the culture of Székelys from Romania proposes the consolidation of the cultural identity of Székelys from Romania through promotion of their specific traditions and artcrafts in a major event (fair) to be organized in the Capital city – Bucharest, which will generate a better understanding of the cultural diversity through a wide exposure of the Romanian citizens to the specific of Székely art and culture.
Minorities Film Festival is a socio-cultural project aiming at creating a better understanding among and of the cultural identities of ethnic minorities in Romania. The project is designed as an open “window” towards minorities.
The project will promote multiculturalism in Beiuș area and will include the most expected local festival, by creating a public-private partnership between the Municipality of Beiuș, the local cultural institutions and the local schools, involving most of the five thousand students from the kindergartens, schools and colleges in Beiuș.
The project is an interdisciplinary work regarding an important issue today for all European cities, putting the understanding of the local context and local creativity as the main triggers in improving the quality of city life.
