ART_ROM's main objective is to develope and promote artistic and socio-cultural interventions, methods and practices necessary to understand the Roma culture from the Romanian urban territories, to encourage intercultural dialogue, cultural diversity and to develop a culture of inclusion at local level, based on pilot-approaches in Turnu Magurele and Alexandria.

The arts and culture festival Balkanik aims at bringing to light the rich cultural traditions of minorities and the most expressive cultural manifestations of these traditions and to disseminate minorities’ stories and culture, offering them an opportunity to exhibit themselves.
