IMPACT

Starting from the socio-economic, cultural and political realities of two small towns from Teleorman district, – Alexandria and Turnu-Măgurele – Maskar project aimed at initiating community dialogue by triggering stereotypes and prejudices, especially ethnic ones, and encouraging for a better understanding of the past with focus upon solidarity and empathy. Throughout the 18 months of project implementation, the Maskar team organized over 40 workshops dedicated to personal development and community theatre involving children and youngsters from Alexandria and Turnu-Măgurele, set the basis for mixt Local Consultation Groups with numerous field interviews. All of these activities resulted in a multimedia exhibition and the <<Maskar (Between)>> community theatre show directed by Mihaela Michailov”.
